Booking Loch Ness Country House Hotel as our wedding venue was the best decision we made. From our initial show around of the venue and meeting Kirsteen and her team we were filled with confidence that our day would run smoothly. As we live in Aberdeen we couldn’t drop into the hotel when we pleased so there were a quite a few phone calls and emails which the team replied to very quickly. As a bride the speedy responses definitely kept my stress levels low. The team were also so helpful with suggesting options and ideas for the set-up and advised local suppliers who were very familiar with the venue.
We were very fortunate to have a meal tasting in order to set our wedding day menu. This was no easy task as ALL the meals were so delicious. As we are a couple of foodies we swayed away from set menu’s and decided to create our own 5 course menu from the choices provided and the hotel were more than happy to accommodate this. Like most couples we were worried about how our chosen menu would taste on the actual day. We had no need to worry. The food was exceptional. All our guests raved about their meal – even our hard to please guests!!
The hotel itself is pristine and well looked after. The décor flows beautifully from the existing building to the extension. The bedrooms are a great size with lots of natural day light. The view from any part of the hotel is breath-taking. As it is located on the outskirts of inverness you are spoilt with the tranquil countryside.
Kirsteen and her teams’ attention to detail was evident not just on the wedding day but every day from the time we booked our wedding. Lynsey was a god send on the morning of our wedding. She was on the ball with everything, she knew when the suppliers would arrive and directed them to where they needed to be. My husband and I had the least stressful wedding day imaginable – not what you will hear from many bride and grooms. Kerri too was superstar, she went above and beyond her duties to find me a nail technician when I was having a pre-wedding meltdown after a cancelled appointment. She did not have to do this and I am so grateful to her that she did.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and work together to run a smooth operation. All our family and friends were well looked after and this ensured they all had a great time on our special day. I may be biased but our wedding was the best wedding I’ve ever been to, not all brides are lucky enough to say that and I am fortunate that we chose LNCHH and I was able to work with Kirsteen and her amazing team to create such a wonderful occasion. We are forever thankful.
